However, New York continues to hold the crown as the largest city in
the U.S., and added 67,000 new residents between July 2011 and July
2012—which is the largest gain of any city in the nation.
The following cities saw the biggest increases in new residents
between July 2011 and July 2012, according to the U.S. Census Bureau:
